Cascade Built Blog

Blog Slacker

I am remiss. A blog should be updated regularly, but I totally let you down, you very possibly being my only reader. Onward.

The Alley House continues. Currently we are framed up, and partially sided. The electricians are working today and for the next week or so. I will include photos of the last couple weeks. SIPs are completed. We are happy with the results, this is one stout building, between the ICFs and the SIPs. Remember ICFs are Insulated Concrete Forms, and SIPs are Structural Insulated Panels. We’re going for tight envelope and high R-value.

Pictures of: EPDM roof (for Green Roof), .29 U-factor windows, Vaproshield Wall Shield WRB building wrap. Also using Wet Flash (the brick color) per the envelope engineer. Top right photo is of the facade from the alley side.
