Flooring install

The flooring is being installed, as well as the casing, base trim and doors. We selected a Sierra Pine product called Medex. It’s formaldehyde free, highly resistant to moisture, made from 100% recycled wood fiber, and a few other features. It is a little light in color when unfinished as it is in this picture, but here’s a closeup with the Nikon Macro of the edge and screw detail, unfinished, dust and all.
We are using the sierra pine product for all the trim, casework, and mouldings. Its environmental properties coupled with high performance and a clean aesthetic makes it an ideal finish material for any Cascade Built home, I’m sure we will be using it again…
