Here’s the walkscore for the Alley House, – 80 out of 100, very walkable. That seems about right to me, I should know since I live next door and have for the last 9 years.
My wife and I share 1 car, and we do a fair amount of walking. I just walked to the grocery store this morning, it’s about 5-7 minutes up the street, 4 blocks. Last night we walked to Chinoise, and had dinner at the sushi bar 3 blocks from here. For a treat we dine at Harvest Vine, one of Seattle’s best restaurants, 2 blocks away. We walk to Madison Park a couple three times a week for banking, drugstore, mailing packages, and sometimes lunch at Cactus or Bing’s. The gym is about 10 blocks from here, so we walk there too.
