Did anyone see the Seattle Times article(s) this weekend – Seattle is the number one real estate market? After last week’s headline story “housing hammered” it was a welcome respite. In the report, Seattle improved its rank to #1 among large cities for best place in invest in commercial and multifamily real estate for 2009. It is a relative ranking, so it may be merely the byproduct of a rebuke of other cities’ prospects. Negatives for Seattle included the prospect for WaMu office space vacancies and even Starbucks trimming the fat.
