1300 Pike: From Chocolates to Carobs at the 2016 Built Green Conference

1300 Pike, our latest Passive House project and one of Seattle’s first multi-family Passive House apartments, will be featured at this year’s Built Green Conference on September 13th in Seattle. Cascade Built Founder, Sloan Ritchie and the design team from Weber Thompson will discuss their plans for reaching Passive House certification and share key insights for creating a market-competitive model that brings Passive House standards to the masses. Built Green Conference

Planned for the previous site of the Fran’s Chocolate factory (now in Georgetown), 1300 Pike apartments will enliven an underutilized block of the Pike/Pine corridor in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. The project will provide occupants comfortable, healthy living environments while consuming up to 90% less energy for heating and cooling than standard-built buildings.

1300 Pike will be comprised of 48 units, including market rate studios, one-and-two-bedroom apartments, and live/work units catering to conscious-minded individuals, couples, young professionals, and families. The project will add 2,400 sf of street-level retail space thoughtfully designed for two or three small businesses while creating a special connection between residents and retail customers.
